Dragan Zdravković is exhibiting at Art Miami on the stand of Bioskop Balkan, where his recently published first monograph is also being presented 🎨🖼️📚🇷🇸. The volume Dragan Zdravković brings together the paintings created by the Serbian artist over the past twenty years. Extensively documented, the publication features texts by Mišela Blanuša, Lucas Gehrmann, Christer Glein, Ljubomir Gligorijević, Danijela Purešević, Ksenija Samardžija, Christen Sveaas, Nikola Šuica, Stevan Vuković, and Sverre Wyller.
Bioskop Balkan is a space devoted to contemporary art and, more broadly, to artistic projects, located in the very heart of Belgrade within a historic nineteenth-century building. The site once housed a cinema that hosted the first opera performances, musicals, and theatrical productions in the Serbian capital. Today, it remains a vibrant meeting place for artists and art audiences alike, while operating as an independent cultural centre.
Listed as a protected heritage site and recognised as a cultural monument, Bioskop Balkan works in close collaboration with the Saša Marčeta Foundation, jointly supporting artists and contributing to the enrichment of the contemporary art scene by providing them with exhibition space as well as financial and organisational support.
Engaging with the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary art, Bioskop Balkan collaborates with art institutions, academies, students, and artists’ associations, contributing to the development and broader recognition of the local art scene.
