Marlène Mocquet was invited to discover the Déchelette Museum in Spring 2021. Seduced by the immense variety of the generalist collections developed for more than two centuries, the idea of realizing a specific production, based on the richness of the works discovered in the reserves, was quickly born. It is the entire first floor of the former 18th century mansion that is invested by the artist, known to take possession of the places where she exhibits and disrupt the hangings. Carte blanche was thus given to Marlène Mocquet for this exhibition, which fully participated in the project to reinvent the museum.
