Adam D. Miller. Ultrapots is the first monograph on the American artist Adam D. Miller. It includes texts by Trinie Dalton and Reuben Merringer.
Adam D. Miller lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He received his MFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and his BFA from UC Sacramento. Recent solo exhibitions include Gattopardo in Los Angeles, Lefebvre & Son in Paris, and Kantor Gallery in Los Angeles. In 2012, he was selected as one of Art Review's "Future Greats." Miller is also the co-founder of The Pit artist gallery in Los Angeles, as well as the lead designer and owner of Reaperware, a line of functional ceramics launched in 2022. He has organized dozens of exhibitions in California and New York, including at the Torrance Art Museum, Verge Center of the Arts in Sacramento CA, Luckman Fine Arts Complex in Los Angeles among others.
Trinie Dalton is an author, editor, and curator based in Los Angeles. She teaches creative writing. She has taught at Columbia University, Bard College, Milton Avery Graduate School, Vermont College of Fine Arts, University of Southern California, Dornsife School of Liberal Arts, English Department Art Center College of Design, NYU, Steinhardt Department of Art and Art Professions, and Pratt Institute, Writing for Performance, Publication, and Media Department.
Reuben Merringer is a Los Angeles-based artist, writer, performer, and educator. His practice traverses traditional and experimental forms and materials, unified by an attraction to social and scientific theories that expose or suggest liminal spaces that evade simple categorical distinction. He teaches at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena where he stresses the importance of criticality to art and design students as they learn to express themselves through writing.
