Fred Kleinberg documents the artist's solo exhibition, which runs from December 12, 2023 to January 14, 2024 at the Espace Niemeyer in Paris as part of the "Libres comme l'art" event. The catalog includes a preface by Pierre Laurent and texts by Renaud Faroux, Olivier Kaeppelin and Emmanuel Pierrat.

Fred Kleinberg was born in Paris in 1966. Trained at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he has been exhibiting his work internationally since 1983. He has taken part in numerous artist residencies, at the Villa Medici in Rome in 1996 in collaboration with novelist Kits Hilaire, at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art in 2001, at the Art Résidence of Pondicherry in 2004 in India, in China in 2010 in collaboration with the Hong Merchant Gallery in Shanghai and in India in 2018 at the University of Shantiniketan. He has also won numerous painting prizes, including the Salon de Montrouge in 1998, the Coprim Foundation in 2000, the Taylor Foundation in 2008, the Charles Oulmont Foundation in 2008 and the 1st Monaco Contemporary Art Prize in 2014.

Renaud Faroux was born in 1971. He is an art historian and journalist, specializing in 1950s abstraction, Figuration Narrative and Pop Art. An exhibition curator and video director for the CNAP, he teaches art history at the Université de Lille III and at the Département de Prospective de l'Université Catholique de Lille. He has published various portraits of artists in L'Express, L'oeil, Télérama, Etapes and Art absolument.

Olivier Kaeppelin is a French curator, art critic and writer. From the 1990s to the end of the 2010s, he held a number of senior positions at France Culture, Radio France, the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, where he was Director of Visual Arts from 2004 to 2010, the Palais de Tokyo and the Fondation Maeght, where he was Director from 2011 to the end of 2017. He has also been a research fellow at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, and has taught at the Université Paris-VIII in the Literature department, at the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne in the Art History department, and at the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes.

Pierre Laurent is a French journalist and politician born in 1957. Honorary senator, former vice-president of the Senate and national secretary of the Communist Party, he is also the former editorial director of the daily L'Humanité. He is one of the initiators of "Libres comme l'art", an exhibition designed for the centenary of the French Communist Party, recounting 100 years of relations between artists and the French Communist Party.

Emmanuel Pierrat, born in 1968, is a writer and literary agent. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1993. He is a former member of the Conseil de l'Ordre du Barreau de Paris and of the Conseil National des Barreaux. He was Curator of the Musée du Barreau de Paris from 2013 to 2020 and General Secretary of the Musée Yves Saint-Laurent Paris from 2018 to 2023. Emmanuel Pierrat is a member of the Acquisitions Committee of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. He is the author of a prolific body of work, including numerous legal works, novels and books on art.
