François Bard is the catalog published to coincide with the exhibition "Les Combattants" at the Galerie Olivier Waltman in Paris (FR) from October 5 to November 4, 2023. It includes texts by Rose-Marie Ferré and Olivier Waltman, as well as an interview with the artist by Henri Vernet.

Born in 1959, François Bard studied at the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Paris in Vincent Guignebert's studio from 1978 to 1980, then was a boarder at Casa de Velázquez in Madrid. In 1990, he won the first Belmondo prize, then taught oil painting at the Ateliers Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris from 1990 to 2000.

Henri Vernet is a journalist, political columnist and deputy editor-in-chief of Le Parisien.

Rose-Marie Ferré has been a lecturer in medieval art history at Sorbonne University since 2009, and is in charge of the Master 2 professional program in "Expertise et marché de l'art".

Olivier Waltman has been a French gallery owner in Paris since 2005. He has been working with François Bard since 2011.
