Never stop! Never Settle! is the catalog published for JonOne's solo exhibition at the Galerie Provost Hacker in Lille (FR) from November 25, 2022 to January 21, 2023. It includes a presentation by Cyrille Gouyette and an interview with the artist.

John Andrew Perello alias JonOne was born in 1963 in New York. He started graffiti in the late 70's by writing his name in the city and on subway trains. "What really got me into tagging was seeing others painting graffiti all over the city."
It was at this time that he met A-One who used to hang out with Jean-Michel Basquiat. "A-one was the link between the street and the art world. He would travel to Europe and come back with a lot of money, just because of his art.
His masters were Miró, Kandinsky, Matisse, and the American abstract expressionists Pollock, de Kooning, Joan Mitchell and Robert Motherwell. JonOne describes himself as an "abstract expressionist graffiti painter". His work has been the subject of more than 100 solo exhibitions around the world since the 1990s.

Cyrille Gouyette is an art historian and chargé de mission at the Louvre Museum. He holds a DEA degree from the University of Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne. Passionate about the links that can be woven between the arts and periods, his DEA thesis was already on a comparison between Byzantine and Italian parietal representations in the 14th century. He published with Jean-René Gaborit Les élans du corps : le mouvement dans la sculpture at the Louvre Museum in 2005, followed by Le nu féminin dans la peinture occidentale with Sonia Brunel, published by the same editor in 2008. More recently, he wrote Une street histoire de l'art, published by Alternatives/Gallimard in 2021. In 2022, he curated the exhibition "Incursions sauvages" at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris.
