Simone Crestani, born in 1984, is an Italian glass artist and designer based in Vicenza (Veneto). He began working with glass at Massimo Lunardon's studio at the age of 15. In 2010 he opened his own studio, Atelier Crestani, where he developed his way of working with borosilicate glass with a blowtorch. Simone has exhibited in many prestigious places around the world, he is now regularly invited as a teacher and artist in the most important international glass centers.
Born in 1976, Laurence Bonnel is a French sculptor living and working in Paris. Passionate about exceptional craftsmanship in both the decorative and fine arts, she opened the Scène Ouverte gallery in 2016 to showcase furniture and art objects, in very limited editions, made by young and established artists and ceramists.
Jean Blanchaert is an art critic, curator and gallery owner in Milan. His namesake gallery opened in 1957 under the impetus of his mother Silvia, and has hosted hundreds of exhibitions in Italy and abroad on leading artists and craftsmen. Jean Blanchaert himself has curated many, many exhibitions in institutions, on glass, ceramics, steel, wood or marble, including "Robert Wilson in Glass" at the Berengo Foundation in 2017, "Homo Faber: Crafting a More Human Future" at the Cini Foundation Venice in 2018, or "Vitrea" at the Fondazione Cologni during the Milan Triennial in 2021. Since 2008 he is a permanent contributor to the monthly magazine Art e Dossier.
