Lille3000 and the Novacene

On May 14, 2022 is inaugurated the exhibition Novacene curated by Alice Audouin and Jean-Max Colard. This exhibition is held at the Gare Saint Sauveur in Lille and is part of the Utopia program, the 6th season of Lille3000.

The artists presented represent the avant-garde of a new civilization in the making. Seismographers of the last tremors of a hyper carbonated world (Allora & Calzadilla, Julian Charrière, Maarten Vanden Eynde), explorers of the subtle kinships between living beings (Fabien Léaustic), alchemists of climatic phenomena (Marie-Luce Nadal, Bigert & Bergstörm, Bianca Bondi), artists place care (Art Orienté Objet, Otobong Nkanga), action (Lucy+Jorge Orta), and the senses (Zheng Bo, Anna Komarova) at the heart of a reinvested common good, and raise the ethical questions of this next world (Haroon Mirza). In an eco-design approach, Novacene becomes a place of exploration, dream and union at the time of the last chance for a viable future.

This exhibition can be found in the catalog Novacène. Art & Climate Crisis , edited for this occasion by Alice Audouin, with the support of Ruinart.
